A welcoming primary school in the Hindley area of Wigan is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Primary Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
The school is part of a well-established local primary academy trust and has a strong community ethos. The school is committed to providing a positive and inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally.
The successful teacher will join a supportive team and be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, maintaining high expectations and creating a positive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
The school is conveniently located for candidates living in Hindley, Ince, Platt Bridge, Leigh, Atherton and Wigan. The area benefits from good road links via the A577 and A58, with easy access to the wider Wigan and Greater Manchester areas. Hindley railway station also provides rail connections towards Wigan and Manchester, making the location accessible for candidates commuting by public transport.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching within a primary school
- Have high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
- Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Be committed to supporting the wider life of the school
