About the RoleWe are looking for a reliable Working Carpenter / Site Supervisor to run a commercial fit-out project across retail units in Birmingham.
This is a hands-on role with an 80/20 split: roughly 80% of your time will be spent on 1st and 2nd-fix carpentry tasks, with 20% dedicated to general site supervision, managing small sub-contractor teams, enforcing site safety, and keeping the job running on schedule.
Key ResponsibilitiesHands-on Carpentry (80%): Carry out high-quality 1st and 2nd fix carpentry across retail units, including kitchens, tea points, vanity units, toilets/bathrooms, doorsets, skirting, architraves, and worktops.
Site Supervision (20%): Oversee day-to-day site operations, run daily site inductions, coordinate trades, and ensure project milestones are hit.
Health & Safety: Maintain strict Health & Safety standards on-site, conduct RAMS reviews, and lead toolbox talks.
