Spanish Teaching Role in a Voluntary Aided School

A well-regarded Voluntary Aided School in Nottingham is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Spanish Teacher to join its successful Modern Foreign Languages department from September. This is a full-time role within a supportive and values-led school that combines strong academic expectations with excellent pastoral care.

Languages are highly valued across the school, and students are encouraged to develop confidence in communication, curiosity about different cultures, and a genuine enthusiasm for language learning.

About the Role

You will teach Spanish across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that help students become confident linguists and independent learners.

Students will develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills while exploring the culture, traditions, and wider context of Spanish-speaking countries. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, supporting them to achieve strong outcomes and progress to higher education or international opportunities.

The successful candidate will also contribute to wider language enrichment, including cultural events, clubs, trips, and activities that promote enthusiasm for language learning across the school.

  • Deliver engaging and challenging language lessons

  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations

  • Develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills

  • Assess student work and provide detailed, constructive feedback

  • Monitor progress and implement effective intervention strategies

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development

  • Support language clubs, trips, and cultural enrichment activities

The School Environment

This Voluntary Aided School in Nottingham offers a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where academic achievement, personal development, and strong pastoral support are equally valued.

The Modern Foreign Languages department benefits from collaborative planning, excellent resources, and a culture of high expectations and student engagement. Staff are supported through ongoing professional development and a strong sense of community across the school.
