Our Client In Kidlington, Oxfordshire is hiring a Finance Manager to oversee end-to-end finance operations, lead the Accounting team and ensure timely, accurate reporting-while supporting audits and continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing:
\n * Oversee end-to-end finance operations, including monthly close routines and balance sheet reconciliations
\n * Produce accurate, timely monthly financial accounts and support the preparation of data for reporting
\n * Lead audit preparation, acting as the primary liaison with auditors and overseeing all audits
\n * Ensure statutory accounts comply with UK GAAP & IFRS and finalise statutory accounts in line with regulatory requirements
\n * Prepare the deferred tax pack for Group accounting annually and corporation tax packs for tax advisors
\n * Ensure VAT returns/payments and other statutory reports (including ONS surveys) are delivered by specified deadlines
\n * Work with other departments on customs tariffs, import VAT and duty
\n * Maintain key finance records including the banking database and bank mandates, and Companies House data for annual returns/director appointments
\n * Manage and develop an Accounting department of four people, with a strong customer focus
\n * Oversee Accounts Receivable, cash collection and Accounts Payable activities, including payments
\n * Oversee payroll processing and associated reporting (sub-contracted to Airbus)
\n * Define and uphold financial controls, ensuring compliance and continuously improving financial systems, processes and procedures
\n * Liaise with IT on accounting software and financial system issues
\n * Support treasury and management reporting

\n * Essential: Detailed knowledge of SAP and FRS102
\n * Professional, trustworthy approach with the ability to define priorities and lead a team
\n * Strong communication skills across different audiences, with a positive, self-starter mindset
\n * Clear accountability for deadlines, accuracy and controls
\n * Appreciation for continuous improvement-turning findings into practical process upgrades
Additional information:
\n * Essential: Professional accountancy qualification such as ACA or ACCA
\n * Subject to National Security Vetting: candidates must be able to obtain SC clearance
\n (typically requires living in the UK for the last five years)
\n * All successful applicants will also undergo a mandatory BPSS check
\n * Must meet Export Compliance Regulations and hold the current, legal right to work in the United Kingdom (no visa sponsorship available)
