About the School
A high-performing 11–18 school in Taunton, with around 1,250 students and a vibrant Sixth Form of 250, is seeking an enthusiastic Music ECT to join their exceptional Performing Arts Faculty from January 2026. About the Role
This full-time, permanent role offers the chance to teach Music across KS3–KS5 in a creative, inclusive environment that encourages students to perform, compose, and explore different genres. You will direct ensembles or choirs, support GCSE and A-Level students with coursework, and contribute to a busy calendar of school concerts and productions.
The school’s induction programme for ECTs is one of the strongest in the region, offering mentoring by experienced practitioners, opportunities to observe masterclasses, and CPD in performance pedagogy. Candidate Requirements
• PGCE with QTS (or pending) in Music or related discipline
• Strong performance and/or composition background
