Job description

Healthcare Assistant (Days or Nights). Fleetwood Hall Care Home

  • £12.76 per hour 38.5 hours per week 8am–8pm shifts OR 8pm-8am shifts
  • Please note: This role involves providing flexible cover across the home's rota so shifts will vary from week to week and there is no fixed working pattern. Unfortunately we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.

Fleetwood Hall Care Home part of Sandstone Care Group is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Healthcare Assistant to join our dedicated team. Our modern recently refurbished home provides high-quality residential care in a warm and welcoming environment where residents are always at the heart of everything we do.

We're looking for someone who enjoys helping others takes pride in delivering excellent care and can adapt to a flexible rota to support the needs of the service.

The Role

As a Healthcare Assistant you will play a vital role in supporting residents with their day-to-day lives promoting dignity independence and wellbeing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities
  • Assisting with meals hydration and social engagement
  • Monitoring resident wellbeing and reporting concerns appropriately
  • Maintaining accurate care documentation and records
  • Supporting with medication where trained and competent to do so
  • Responding professionally to changing resident needs
  • Working closely with colleagues to provide consistent person-centred care
  • Contributing to a clean safe and comfortable living environment
  • Building positive relationships with residents relatives and visitors

What we’re looking for:

  • A compassionate caring and reliable individual
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • The ability to work independently when required
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts each week
  • Previous care experience is beneficial although full training can be provided
