Here at our state of the art site in Saffron Walden we are recruiting for a Laboratory Support to assist the DMPK (Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics) team in drug discovery research.

You will be part of a rapidly developing multi-disciplinary team who are dedicated to partnering with our clients to develop quality candidate molecules supportive of each other every step of the way!

Being given opportunities to learn scienftific techniques lab skills and gain industry knowledge. We are looking for a team member to embed themselves with some permanence develop in the role and become a pivotal member of the team.



Main Tasks:

  • Perform in vitro assays to determine the ADME properties of novel compounds. This will include training in the use of several laboratory automation tools.
  • Analyse biological samples using LC/MS (Liquid Chromatography/ Mass Spectrometry) from in vitro assays.
  • Follow defined experimental procedures and processes and summarise results for quality control by others.
  • Perform routine instrument validation and maintenance duties to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Help with general laboratory housekeeping.

Full comprehensive training will be provided.


Requirements:

  • Educated to A Level (at least one Science)
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Desire to work in life sciences
  • Candidates who are willing/able to work a weekend working pattern (Wednesday - Sunday) preferred
