Location: RAF Mildenhall, Suffolk (Site Based)

Salary: Starting from £55,000 per annum (dependent upon qualifications, experience and security clearance)

About G3 Systems

G3 Systems Ltd is a specialist provider of deployable infrastructure, engineering, construction and operational support solutions, delivering complex programmes for defence, government and commercial clients throughout the UK and internationally. We deliver world-class engineering and infrastructure solutions in secure and challenging environments, supporting critical operational capability for our customers.

We are seeking an experienced Scheduler with expertise in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to support United States Air Force infrastructure programmes based at RAF Mildenhall. This is a key Project Controls role responsible for developing, maintaining and analysing integrated programme schedules that support the successful delivery of complex engineering and construction projects.

The Role

G3 Systems is seeking an experienced Scheduler to support a major United States Air Force programme at RAF Mildenhall.

Working as part of the Programme Management Office (PMO), you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and controlling integrated project schedules that enable successful delivery of construction, facilities and engineering programmes.

The successful candidate will ensure schedule integrity across multiple workstreams, providing accurate forecasting, progress measurement and reporting to both G3 Systems and Government stakeholders.

This role is critical to maintaining programme visibility, identifying schedule risks and ensuring contractual milestones are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated master schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Produce resource-loaded schedules for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Maintain schedule baselines and manage revisions through formal change control.
  • Integrate individual project schedules into an overall programme schedule.
  • Update schedules on a weekly basis using actual progress information.
  • Monitor critical path activities and identify schedule risks and recovery opportunities.
  • Produce look-ahead programmes (2, 4 and 6-week planning horizons).
  • Generate schedule performance metrics, dashboards and executive reports.
  • Support programme reviews with Government representatives and senior management.
  • Coordinate planning information with Project Managers, Engineers and Commercial teams.
  • Assist with delay analysis, schedule impact assessments and mitigation planning.
  • Ensure schedule quality and compliance with contractual planning requirements.
  • Support Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), programme audits and customer reporting.

About You

You will be an experienced Scheduler or Project Planner with a strong background in programme controls within engineering, construction, infrastructure or defence environments.

Essential

  • Significant experience developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and project planning principles.
  • Experience supporting engineering, construction or infrastructure programmes.
  • Ability to analyse complex schedules and identify programme risks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting United States Air Force, US Department of Defense (DoD) or UK Ministry of Defence programmes.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and programme controls.
  • Experience developing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Familiarity with NEC Engineering and Construction Contracts and infrastructure delivery.
  • Experience working within engineering, construction or defence programme environments.
  • Professional membership with the Association for Project Management (APM), Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or another relevant professional body.
  • Existing BPSS, Security Check (SC) or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain the appropriate clearance.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary starting from £55,000 per annum, dependent upon experience.
  • 37.5-hour working week.
  • 25 days annual leave plus UK public holidays.
  • Private Medical Insurance (BUPA).
  • Life Assurance (3.5 times annual salary).
  • Company Pension Scheme.
  • Company Sick Pay.
  • Salary Sacrifice Schemes, including Electric Vehicle and Cycle to Work.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Professional development, technical training and career progression opportunities.
  • Opportunity to support high-profile United States Air Force infrastructure programmes using industry-leading programme controls methodologies.

Security Requirements

This position is subject to successful pre-employment screening and will require the successful candidate to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance, which may include BPSS, Security Check (SC) and client-specific security requirements.
