Teaching Personnel is recruiting a qualified teacher for general cover across secondary schools in Sunderland from September 2026. This is a flexible role open to teachers across all subjects and phases, suited to someone who enjoys variety, adapts quickly to different classroom environments, and wants to stay in education without the full demands of a permanent post.

What the role involves:
- Covering planned and unplanned absences across Sunderland secondary schools
- Delivering pre-set lessons or using your initiative when required
- Managing classrooms confidently across a range of subjects and year groups
- Upholding safeguarding responsibilities in every setting
To be considered:
- QTS or equivalent — essential
- Experience teaching in UK secondary schools
- Confident and adaptable in a range of classroom environments
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
