Where will you be working?

At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future.

We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.

We find the best technology, manage assets and refresh systems. With 24/7 network operations, we keep things running smoothly, while operating comprehensive network repair and maintenance to keep everything in top shape.

We're looking for a Design Manager based in the UK, with occasional travel to M Group offices and project locations as needed. You'll be an inspiring people leader who can bring teams together, balance priorities, and ensure high-quality design delivery across a busy operational environment. Working closely with colleagues across the business, you'll help create a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional service while ensuring design work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll lead and develop a team of design professionals, creating a positive and high-performing culture while ensuring design outputs are delivered on time, to the required quality standards, and in line with governance processes. We'll rely on you to manage resources and workloads across multiple projects, drive efficiency and continuous improvement, and act as the key link between design delivery, operational teams, and wider business stakeholders to ensure priorities, milestones, and expectations remain aligned.

What You'll Bring

Proven experience leading and developing design, engineering, or professional services teams

Strong people leadership and performance management skills

Experience managing workloads and resources across multiple projects or programmes

Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management abilities

A delivery-focused approach with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment

Strong understanding of governance, quality assurance, and structured delivery processes

Experience within telecoms, utilities, or infrastructure environments would be advantageous

A calm, pragmatic, and accountable leadership style with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement
