Tradewind Recruitment is proud to partner with a renowned, purpose-built SEN specialist school in Whitehaven to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant for the complete 2026/2027 academic year. This role involves supporting children and young people who have severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties, sensory needs, or physical disabilities. Working as part of a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team, you will help create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where pupils can build independence, communication skills, and reach their personal achievements. Key Responsibilities Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis across structured learning, creative activities, and social times. Assisting with sensory development, communication programmes (such as PECS or Makaton), and personal care needs where required.
