Senior Backend Software Engineer - Warminster Hybrid - Security Cleared - 90000
Were looking for an experienced engineer to join a collaborative technology team delivering mission-critical software used within a large-scale UK defence programme. This is an opportunity to take ownership of major backend initiatives influence technical direction and work on systems where performance reliability and security genuinely matter.
Youll be helping to shape architecture solve integration challenges and design scalable backend solutions that connect multiple enterprise platforms.
Working as part of an experienced engineering team youll play a key role in evolving a modern software platform integrating with data platforms ERP systems and partner technologies while helping establish engineering best practices across the wider team.
Youll have the autonomy to make technical decisions mentor fellow engineers and contribute to the long-term direction of both the product and engineering function.
Youll ideally have experience in:
Youll be someone who enjoys solving difficult engineering problems communicates well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and takes pride in delivering high-quality software.
Due to the nature of the work applicants must be UK Nationals and eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC). Existing SC clearance is advantageous but not essential.
