Job description

Are you an experienced trainer, coach or care professional who knows how to bring learning to life?

At Belong, outstanding care starts with colleagues who feel confident, capable and supported. As our Practice Development Facilitator, you will play a vital role in developing our teams, embedding best practice and helping colleagues deliver exceptional, person-centred support.

Based at our new Belong Birkdale village, you will lead engaging inductions, workshops, coaching sessions and reflective learning activities. You will work alongside managers, mentors and operational teams to ensure colleagues have the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to be their best.

This is much more than a classroom-based training role. You will spend time within our services, observing practice, coaching colleagues and turning learning into meaningful improvements for the people who live with us.

What you’ll be doing

You will:

  • Design and deliver engaging inductions, workshops and learning sessions
  • Coach and mentor colleagues to develop confidence, capability and professional practice
  • Facilitate reflective practice and team learning sessions
  • Support colleagues with performance development and career progression
  • Work closely with managers and workplace mentors to provide effective ongoing support
  • Observe practice and provide constructive, supportive feedback
  • Evaluate the impact of learning through audits, feedback and observation
  • Identify learning needs and develop practical interventions that improve service quality
  • Promote safe, inclusive and values-led learning environments
  • Travel to other Belong locations when required to support organisational learning priorities

Bring our values to life

Our values shape how we work, learn and care.

Stronger Together

You will collaborate with colleagues, managers and mentors to create a culture of shared learning and mutual support.

Better Tomorrow

You will identify opportunities to improve practice and develop learning that prepares our teams for the future.

Be Your Best

You will encourage colleagues to recognise their strengths, build their confidence and achieve their potential.

Care from the Heart

You will ensure every learning experience is compassionate, practical and focused on delivering outstanding support.

Respect for All

You will champion inclusive learning and create an environment where every colleague feels valued, heard and able to contribute.

Why join Belong?

Belong is a pioneering care organisation creating vibrant communities where older people can live life to the full.

You will join a supportive and forward-thinking organisation that values your expertise and gives you the opportunity to influence the quality of care across our services. Your work will help colleagues grow, strengthen our teams and make a lasting difference to the lives of the people we support.

Ready to inspire others, develop great practice and help shape the future of care? Apply today.

Requirements

About you

You will be someone who can build trust, engage different audiences and inspire people to put learning into practice.

You will have:

  • Experience of coaching, mentoring or facilitating adult learning in care settings
  • Experience within health and social care or a similarly regulated environment
  • A strong understanding of reflective practice and performance development approaches
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills across multidisciplinary teams
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or an equivalent qualification
  • A willingness to work towards a teaching, assessing or adult teaching qualification; holding one already is a plus
  • The flexibility to work across evenings and occasional weekends and travel between Belong locations when required
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
