A rare opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef to join our clients 3* hotel up in North Lakes, near Shap - Lake District. The venue is a 3* hotel with a rosette restaurant. Typically the menu is a British/Med twist with seasonal and local touch. Its a really nice venue offering a hearty product in stunning surroundings. Live in is available with this role if required along with a generous starting salary, career development and progression and on-going training. The company offers a very real progression path to Head Chef.
\nThe ideal person for this role will be hands on in the kitchen and able to turn their hand to suchtreats as afternoon tea, the onsite a'la carte restaurant and of course cover food requirements for general hotel guests, functions and events. They should be able to run control and feel comfortable managing a kitchen in theabsence of the Head Chef including knowledge of Health and safety, hygiene and staff management and motivation.
