The Opportunity
\n
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced MRO Electronics Technician to join a leading aerospace manufacturing organisation based at Ansty Park, Coventry.
\n
\n
Working within a high-performing Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) team, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, testing and certification of advanced electronic assemblies and units used within aircraft braking systems. This is a hands-on technical role where precision, quality and attention to detail are critical.
\n
\n
You will play a key role in ensuring safety-critical aerospace components are repaired, tested and returned to service in accordance with stringent quality and regulatory standards, directly supporting aircraft performance and passenger safety.

What you will be doing
\n
\n
As an MRO Electronics Technician, your responsibilities will include:
\n
\n - Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies
\n - Disassembling, inspecting, repairing and overhauling complex electronic units
\n - Replacing defective electronic components and carrying out corrective actions
\n - Testing electronic sub-assemblies and finished units using specialist test equipment
\n - Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics and maintenance documentation
\n - Verifying components and consumables are used in accordance with engineering and maintenance requirements
\n - Maintaining product traceability and completing all required manufacturing and quality documentation
\n - Supporting Lean manufacturing initiatives, continuous improvement activities and Team Improvement Boards
\n - Adhering to company quality standards, regulatory requirements, health and safety procedures and ESD controls
\n - Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and 5S within the work area

What we are looking for
\n
You will be an experienced Electronics Technician with strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability, ideally gained within aerospace, defence, rail or another highly regulated engineering environment. You will enjoy working on complex electronic systems and take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship to exacting standards.
\n
\n
Essential
\n
\n - HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
\n - Experience repairing electronic assemblies within a manufacturing, engineering or MRO environment
\n - Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and repair skills
\n - Ability to diagnose and rectify electronic system malfunctions
\n - Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics and maintenance manuals
\n - Experience using electronic test, measurement and inspection equipment
\n - Understanding of quality procedures and controlled manufacturing processes
\n - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
\n - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
\n - Good organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
\n

Desirable
\n
\n - Engineering apprenticeship
\n - Experience within the aerospace, defence or other highly regulated industries
\n - Knowledge of SAP or other manufacturing systems
\n - Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
\n - Awareness of ESD controls and electronic product handling requirements
\n - Experience of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement or 5S methodologies
