Job descriptionOverview We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Associate to join our highly regarded non-contentious construction team, based in Bristol or London. Responsibilities Our non-contentious construction practice covers a wide range of work including energy generation and infrastructure, social infrastructure (hospitals, schools), regeneration, iconic development projects, mixed-use and residential development, logistics and major retail and commercial developments. Tasks range from initial procurement advice and legal project management to negotiating complex construction contracts, whether bespoke or based on mandatory UK industry standard forms. You will also collaborate closely with our contentious construction, major projects, energy, commercial real‑estate, banking and project finance teams. Technical Skills and Experience You will have gained experience of non-contentious construction matters at a well-respected practice either through a training-seat or post‑qualification. You must be versatile, able to work across different sectors, have strong project‑management skills, and be keen to engage in a broad range of work. Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable: * General UK domestic development work across commercial offices, hotels, retail, residential, mixed‑use and industrial. * Energy, renewables and power – solar, battery storage, wind, EFW, nuclear, gas and grid‑stability projects. * PFI/PPP projects including student accommodation, social infrastructure, defence and transport.
