CNC Programmer Location: Wolverhampton Salary: Circa £46,000 Hours: 42 hours based on 4 days - Friday off
Overview: We're working with a well-established and highly regarded engineering business that is actively seeking a skilled CNC Programmer for their milling machines. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CNC programmer to join a professional team within a modern, clean, and well-run facility. A CNC Programmer
is
a skilled technician who sets up and operates computer-controlled machines to create precision parts from materials like steel, aluminium and titanium.
A CNC
machinist typically has the expertise to program, calibrate, and troubleshoot the equipment.
Key Responsibilities of CNC Programmer:
Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines. Working with FANUC, Siemens, and G-code control systems. Interpreting and working from detailed engineering drawings. Setting tools, understanding cutting speeds and feeds, and carrying out boring, drilling, and threading operations. Ensuring high levels of accuracy and consistency while working to tight tolerances. Confident use of inspection and measurement equipment including verniers, bore gauges, micrometres, etc Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised work environment. Experience required for CNC programmer;
A minimum of 1 year of experience in CNC programming. Solid background in CNC milling operations Preferably experience with CAD/CAM systems. Someone who is highly motivated, communicates well, and works effectively as part of a team. A proactive attitude, flexibility, and the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently. A willingness to learn and continuously improve. Contract details for CNC programmer: Upto £21 ph basic Plenty of overtime Friday off Monday to Thursday days 0700 starts Overtime premium over 38 hours 25 days annual leave Free parking Pension What next?
