Area Sales Representative - Key Responsibilities:
Own and grow a portfolio of existing accounts across bedding, and industrial segments. Proactively prospect for new business, building a strong, self-sufficient pipeline. Understand each customer's technical requirements and specification process, translating product capability into commercial value. Manage the full sales cycle from lead through to close, including sampling, trials, and technical sign-off where required. Negotiate pricing and terms in line with margin targets, escalating where appropriate. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in CRM ensuring real-time visibility of pipeline and forecast. Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reporting to senior leadership, including forecast accuracy and conversion rates. Analyse account and market data to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities, feeding insight back into commercial strategy. Track competitor activity, new product developments, and market conditions relevant to the nonwoven sector. Liaise with Operations and Customer Service to ensure lead times, quality, and service levels meet customer expectations.
Area Sales Representative - Skills & Experience
Proven sales experience selling nonwovens, fibre products or mattress components into the mattress and bedding manufacturing sector. Comfortable managing both existing accounts and new business development, with a track record of hitting revenue targets. Confident communicating technical product information to a range of stakeholders, from procurement through to technical/engineering contacts. Data-driven approach to pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline. Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable travelling to customer sites as required.
