Pay Rate: £43.42 per hour Umbrella (£34.85 PAYE)\n

\nWe are currently recruiting on behalf nof a London-based local authority to recruit an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer for an exciting temporary opportunity within its engineering and transport services.\n
\n
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a skilled traffic and highways professional to take responsibility for the delivery of a range of engineering projects and technical functions, working closely with senior colleagues and contributing to the effective delivery of high-quality schemes and services.\n
\n
\nReporting to the Principal Traffic Engineer, you will be responsible for the effective execution of allocated engineering projects, functions and areas of work, ensuring that all activities are delivered in line with relevant contracts, agreements, statutory requirements and professional standards.\n
\n
\nYou will take responsibility for your own workload and, where appropriate, provide support and supervision to junior staff and subcontractors. The role will involve a combination of technical engineering, project delivery, contract administration, financial monitoring, consultation and stakeholder engagement.\n
\n
Key Responsibilities\n
The successful candidate will be an experienced traffic or highways engineer with a strong understanding of engineering project delivery within a public sector, local authority, consultancy or similar environment.\n
