The Role: Trainee Safety Technician
Location: Aberdeen (with occasional travel to customer sites)

\n We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Trainee Safety Technician to join a well-establoished Aberdeen team.
\n This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the marine, industrial, offshore, and energy industries. You'll receive comprehensive training, hands-on experience, and ongoing support while learning from experienced technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
\n Based primarily at the Aberdeen workshop, you'll assist with the maintenance, inspection, testing, and preparation of specialist safety equipment. You'll also visit customer locations when required, helping to ensure equipment is serviced and ready for operational use.
Responsibilities include:
\n
\n - Assisting with the inspection, maintenance, servicing, and testing of a variety of safety equipment.
\n - Preparing equipment for customer hire, sales, servicing, and mobilisation projects.
\n - Helping manage customer-owned assets alongside the company's rental fleet.
\n - Recording inspection findings, service reports, and equipment history using company systems.
\n - Supporting the receipt, storage, and dispatch of equipment.
\n - Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
\n - Completing routine administrative tasks and ensuring accurate documentation.
\n - Working in line with company Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) procedures.
\n - Travelling to customer facilities, offshore installations, or marine locations when required.

\n - Portable and fixed gas detection systems
\n - Breathing apparatus and respiratory protection equipment
\n - Fall protection and working-at-height systems
\n - Radiation monitoring instruments
\n - Breathing air compressors
\n - Nitrogen generation systems
\n - Fire safety and firefighting equipment
\n - Lifejackets, immersion suits, and other lifesaving equipment

About You:
\n No previous experience in this type of role is required. Full training will be provided. Looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys practical work, and has a positive attitude.
You'll ideally have:
\n
\n - A practical and hands-on approach.
\n - A willingness to develop new technical skills.
\n - Good attention to detail and a methodical way of working.
\n - Basic IT and administration skills.
\n - Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
\n - A commitment to working safely and following established procedures.
\n - A dependable, professional attitude.
\n - A full UK driving licence, or the willingness to obtain one within an agreed timeframe.
\n - Flexibility to travel as business needs require.
\n

Experience in engineering, mechanical, electrical, workshop, manufacturing, marine, industrial, or oil and gas environments would be an advantage but is not essential.
