The English, Maths and ESOL Team has been established at Carshalton College to bring all ESOL, GCSE and Functional Skills provision together within a single department. Were now seeking a Team Leader - English to join the School Management Team. In this role, youll work closely with the Head of School and Deputy Head of School to lead and support colleagues, driving continuous improvement and raising the quality of education across all ESOL and English provision. Youll also play a key role in curriculum management, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement.
Youll lead and support staff delivering English qualifications, monitoring the quality of teaching across GCSE English and ESOL qualifications to ensure it is consistently outstanding. Youll ensure that provision meets the expectations of students and complies with the requirements of awarding bodies, employers and higher education institutions.
Wed like our Team Leader to hold a teaching qualification, have excellent current teaching skills in English and be recognised as a good or better teacher. With a degree or relevant professional qualifications in an appropriate subject, youll have experience of leading/managing GCSE English and/or Functional Skills English and have a track record of making sustained improvements.
