Job description
Position: Caretaker Location: Dudley Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Start Date: Immediate Start Available Caretaker Role in a Welcoming Primary School A welcoming Primary School in Dudley is seeking to appoint a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join its dedicated support team. About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the school site, ensuring that buildings and grounds are clean, safe, secure, and well maintained. Working closely with the School Business Manager and leadership team, you will carry out routine maintenance, health and safety checks, minor repairs, site security duties, and liaise with contractors when required. You will help ensure the school remains compliant with statutory regulations while providing a welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities Open and close the school site each day Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs Ensure the school site is safe, secure, and well presented Complete regular health and safety and compliance checks Monitor heating, lighting, and building systems Liaise with contractors and oversee site visits Assist with setting up rooms for school events and activities Maintain the school grounds and outdoor areas to a high standard The School Environment This Welcoming Primary School in Dudley provides a caring and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.
