Job description

SEN Teacher - Autism Resource Provision - RochdaleStart Date: September 2026 Salary: Paid in line with the Main Teacher Pay Scale from day one, dependent on experience. Full-time, term-time only.Aspire People is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming mainstream primary school in Rochdale that is seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teacher to lead a specialist class for pupils with autism from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a well-resourced and highly supportive setting where pupils benefit from tailored provision designed to meet their individual needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for a small class of pupils, all of whom have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and personalised speech and language targets. Supported by a knowledgeable and experienced team of Teaching Assistants, you will play a key role in helping pupils develop academically, socially and communicatively. The successful SEN Teacher will take full responsibility for the planning, delivery and assessment of learning within the provision. Pupils present with a range of communication needs, including non-verbal pupils and those requiring specialist communication approaches. You will create a structured, engaging and supportive environment that enables pupils to access learning, develop independence and achieve their individual EHCP outcomes.
