A popular primary school in West Warrington is looking to appoint a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
The school is part of a well-established academy trust and has a strong focus on inclusion, positive relationships and ensuring that every child is supported to achieve their potential.
The role will involve providing additional support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, working closely with class teachers and the wider school team.
The school is conveniently located for candidates travelling from Great Sankey, Penketh, Warrington town centre, Widnes and Runcorn. The area is well connected by road, with easy access to the M62 and M56, while local bus services connect the surrounding residential areas with Great Sankey and West Warrington.
The successful candidate may have experience supporting pupils with:
- Autism and ADHD
- Speech and language needs
- Social, emotional and mental health needs
- Complex learning needs
- Behavioural needs
- 1:1 and small-group interventions
The school is looking for someone who is patient, resilient, nurturing and consistent, with the ability to build strong relationships with children and support them to overcome barriers to learning.
Previous school experience is desirable, although candidates with relevant experience in care, youth work, residential settings, sports coaching or psychology may also be considered.
