Job description

Stop Domestic Abuse is a trauma informed organisation, the work we do to support those affected by domestic abuse may be triggering for those with past trauma. Main purpose and scope of the job * Working within domestic abuse dispersed accommodation provided by the local authority providing support to the victim/survivor * Providing high-quality crisis intervention, information, advocacy, and proactive support to victims / survivors who access the Housing and Homelessness Service * Working with colleagues to increase knowledge and develop responses to victims and survivors of domestic abuse through formal and informal training sessions, this includes colocation within the council. * Providing resettlement support to victims of domestic abuse moving on from Stop Domestic Abuse safe accommodation * Supporting victims to understand their housing options to aid in the prevention/relief of homelessness and access or maintain suitable, safe accommodation.
