Thera Trust has an exciting opportunity available for a Female Relief Support Worker to join our team based in Rishton, Lancashire. You will join us on a relief basis in return for a competitive salary of £13.00 per hour.

Additional Information: Full UK driving licence is essential.

The Female Relief Support Worker role

Thera Trust is seeking enthusiastic support workers to join an inclusive team supporting adults with a learning disability. You will help create innovative ways to support individuals to achieve their own personal goals, aims and ambitions. The support you provide will vary with each person you work with because every individual is different. Supporting people in their daily lives can include helping someone develop new skills, providing personal and emotional support, helping people plan and manage their own home, supporting leisure, employment, individual interests, and travel. The role can be fun and rewarding, but also at times challenging and demanding.

You may be supporting people in their own homes or out and about in the community. Ther a Trust is unique – we are led by people with a learning disability.

Our vision is to promote that people with a learning disability can be leaders in society.

Using a person‑centred approach, you will empower people with a learning disability to live the lives they choose.

Who are we looking for?

  • No previous experience or qualifications required – full training will be provided (unless specified otherwise).
  • You must be comfortable with lone working & supporting individuals with Mental Health Needs.
  • Compassionate, caring and confident.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self‑starter, with a high level of motivation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – confident, articulate, and professional.
  • Keenness to learn in a fast‑paced environment and creatively solve problems.
  • Desire to embrace our values and vision and have fun.
