Outreach, Engagement & Intervention Worker (Fixed-Term Contract) Location: Colchester (covering Braintree, Chelmsford, Colchester & Tendring) Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only (39 working weeks) Contract: Fixed-term until 31 August 2028 Salary: Scale 7, Points 19-24 (£27,486 - £30,359 pro rata, Pay Award Pending April 2026) We are recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking Academy Trust for an enthusiastic and compassionate Outreach, Engagement & Intervention Worker to join an exciting multi-hub Outreach Project supporting secondary schools across Mid and North East Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who believes every young person deserves the chance to succeed, regardless of the challenges they face. You'll work alongside schools, families and partner agencies to promote inclusion, improve engagement in education and help reduce the risk of permanent exclusion. The position will begin on a 12-week temporary assignment through our agency, with the successful candidate transferring to the Trust's employment for the remainder of the fixed-term contract until 31 August 2028, subject to successful completion of the temporary period.
