Healthcare Assistant - York & Surrounding Areas | Flexible Shifts & Premium Pay Set Your Own Schedule. Take Control of Your Career. Looking for flexible Healthcare Assistant work in York and the surrounding areas? We are currently recruiting experienced Healthcare Assistants in York areas to support a range of care homes, nursing homes, and healthcare services. As a trusted UK healthcare staffing agency, Advantage Angels gives Healthcare Assistants the freedom to manage their own schedules while earning excellent rates of pay. What We Offer Flexible Shifts Across York Choose the shifts that suit you best, including days, nights, weekends, and block bookings. No fixed rotas or minimum commitments. Competitive Pay Rates Earn between £15.00 – £22.00 per hour, with enhanced rates for nights, weekends, and bank holidays. Weekly and monthly pay options available. Immediate & Ongoing Work We have immediate Healthcare Assistant shifts available across York and surrounding areas, with ongoing opportunities from trusted healthcare providers. Free Training & DBS Support Access free online and practical healthcare training to help you develop your skills and confidence. We also cover DBS application and renewal support. Ongoing Support Our friendly recruitment and operations teams are always available to support you throughout your journey with Advantage Angels. Uniforms, ID badges, and timesheet support provided. Fast & Simple Registration Our streamlined registration process helps you get compliant and start work quickly. Your Responsibilities As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, person-centred care to residents and service users. Responsibilities may include: Assisting with personal care and daily living Supporting mobility and wellbeing Providing emotional support and companionship Working alongside Nurses and healthcare teams Helping create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment Requirements To apply for our Healthcare Assistant roles in York and surrounding areas, you must have: A minimum of 6 months’ paid UK care experience within care homes, nursing homes, or hospitals A passion for delivering high-quality care The right to work in the UK A driving licence is preferred but not essential
