Job description
Position: Drama Teacher Location: Cambridge Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September Key Stages: KS3–KS5 Drama Teacher Role in a Prestigious Independent School A prestigious Independent School in Cambridge is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Drama Teacher to join its thriving Performing Arts department from September. About the Role The successful candidate will teach Drama across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging practical and theoretical lessons that develop students’ performance skills, confidence, and creativity. Students explore a range of theatrical styles, practitioners, performance techniques, and dramatic texts. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Drama examinations while encouraging collaboration, imagination, and a deeper understanding of theatre. You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through school productions, theatre visits, drama clubs, workshops, and enrichment activities that allow students to showcase their talents. Key Responsibilities Teach Drama across KS3, KS4, and KS5 Deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Drama examinations Develop students’ performance, creativity, and confidence Assess progress and provide high-quality feedback Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development Support productions, workshops, and extracurricular activities Inspire a passion for theatre and the performing arts The School Environment This Prestigious Independent School in Cambridge offers a stimulating and supportive environment where students are encouraged to excel across both academic and creative disciplines.
