About the Role The successful candidate will teach English across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that develop students' reading, writing, analytical, and communication skills. Students study a broad and ambitious curriculum encompassing Shakespeare, classic and contemporary literature, poetry, drama, creative writing, and language analysis. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level English Literature and English Language examinations while fostering confidence, curiosity, and critical thinking. You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through book clubs, creative writing workshops, theatre visits, debating societies, and enrichment opportunities that inspire students beyond the classroom.
