Job Title : Offload Team Leader Location : 38/39 Juliette Way, Purfleet Industrial Park, Purfleet RM15 4YA Salary : £16 per hour Job Type : Permanent, full-time Working Hours : Monday to Friday: 6:30am – 3:15pm Every third weekend worked as paid overtime, carrying out additional yard duties The Company: Recorra is a leading circular economy company, providing services for recycling, data destruction and office supplies in London and the South East. The Role: We are looking for an experienced and motivated Offload Team Leader to join our team. This is a hands-on supervisory role where you will lead the daily offloading operation, ensuring recyclable materials are unloaded safely, efficiently, and sorted correctly while maintaining high standards of health and safety. If you have previous supervisory experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced operational environment, we'd like to hear from you. Responsibilities: Supervise the daily unloading of company vehicles Ensure incoming materials are unloaded safely, efficiently, and sorted into the correct material streams Lead by example, promoting a positive Health & Safety culture and ensuring compliance with company procedures and relevant legislation Monitor the quality of incoming recyclable materials, identifying contamination or unsuitable loads and reporting any issues Maintain a clean, organised, and safe offloading area Report accidents, incidents, near misses, equipment defects, and operational issues promptly, supporting investigations and corrective actions where required Work closely with the Facility Manager to ensure the smooth running of the offloading operation Support the Facility Manager with day-to-day operational tasks and any additional duties as required Assist the Facility Manager with continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and health & safety performance About you: Essential Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse, recycling, waste management, logistics, manufacturing, or similar operational environment Strong leadership and communication skills Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads A proactive and reliable approach to work Desirable Experience within the recycling or waste management industry What We Offer £16.00 per hour Paid overtime Employee pension scheme Health Cash Plan Additional annual for length of service On-site parking Full training and ongoing support Opportunities for career development Travel season ticket loan Cycle to work scheme A friendly, supportive working environment If you're a safety-conscious leader with a hands-on approach and a passion for driving operational excellence, we'd love to hear from you.
