About Westleigh House
Westleigh House is a home for long-term resident who have mental health and Learning and disability support needs. For many, this can be home for a number of years, although for others it acts as a very successful transitional stage towards having their own home, either on their own or sharing with others. It can also be used as a location for short breaks away from a permanent home elsewhere. Each person that lives at Westleigh House has their own bedroom and shares communal facilities for cooking, dining, personal care, relaxing and pursuing home based leisure as well as enjoying the shared use of the very spacious gardens which include a greenhouse and vegetable patch.
Mental Health learning and Disability Support Worker
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our Mental Health Supported Living team.
You will be supporting people with mental health needs who will be moving into our new supported living properties. The service will consist of three bungalows-two in Great Sankey and one in Fearnhead. These properties are currently undergoing renovation and are expected to be ready for occupancy in October 2026.
The individuals moving into the supported living properties currently reside at Westleigh House, a residential home located in Stockton Heath. Successful candidates will initially be based at Westleigh House, where they will have the opportunity to get to know the people they will be supporting, build positive relationships, and become familiar with their individual needs before they transition to their new homes.
Once the move has taken place, you will continue to provide person-centred support from the supported living properties, helping people to develop their independence, achieve their personal goals, and live fulfilling lives within their local community.
