Job description
Class 1 Tramper Driver Location: Rutland Area Salary: £14.50 - £15.03 per hour Due to continued growth, our client a leading logistics and general haulage business are seeking experienced Class 1 Day Drivers to join their transport team, delivering palletised freight using curtain-sided articulated vehicles. Key Responsibilities Complete deliveries and collections of palletised general haulage across the UK Safely operate Class 1 articulated vehicles whilst working away during the week Ensure loads are secured and transported safely Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reporting Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and records Provide a professional service to customers at collection and delivery points Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and road transport legislation Maintain high standards of vehicle care and road safety Requirements Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card Previous Class 1 driving experience Experience with curtain-sided trailers would be advantageous Good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations ADR Licence would be advantageous Willingness to work away from home during the working week Professional and reliable approach Salary & Benefits £14.50 per hour (Class 1 Tramper) £15.03 per hour (Class 1 ADR Tramper) Tax-free meal allowance of £1,150 per annum 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays Group profit share bonus Medicash scheme Salary Extras benefits platform Regular tramping work Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
