Salary £50,0004 on 4 off Days & Nights Minimum Level 3 Qualification We are seeking a motivated and solutions-focused Maintenance Technician to join the growing Engineering Team within a leading global logistics organisation. As a Engineering Technician, you will play a key role in supporting, maintaining, and improving operational systems, automation equipment, and engineering processes across the logistics network. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, safe, and cost-effective engineering solutions that support world-class supply chain operations. With ongoing training and career progression this is a great opportunity for an ambitious engineer to show case your skills and leadership ability.Key Responsibilities for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician
  • Maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimisation of engineering systems and automated equipment.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Work closely with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to ensure smooth day-to-day performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective actions for technical issues.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Assist with project planning, equipment upgrades, and installation activities.
  • Prepare technical documentation, maintenance reports, and performance data analysis.
  • Support preventative maintenance programmes and reliability initiatives.
Experience and Qualifications required for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related discipline).
  • Previous experience within logistics, manufacturing, distribution, automation, or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with automated systems, conveyors, robotics, or warehouse technologies is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of maintenance systems and engineering best practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-moving environment.
