Game Farm & Beef Cattle Worker - Somerset - £30,000 - £35,000
The Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a reliable and enthusiastic Game Farm & Beef Cattle Worker to join a well established family run agricultural business in Somerset. This is a varied, hands on role working with pheasants, partridges and beef cattle. The position would suit someone who enjoys practical outdoor work, has a genuine interest in livestock and takes pride in maintaining high standards of animal care and welfare.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide daily care and management of pheasants and partridges throughout the game rearing season
- Carry out feeding, watering and maintenance of game pens to a high standard
- Support general game farm operations and seasonal activities
- Assist with the care of beef cattle, including feeding, bedding and routine livestock tasks
- Carry out general farm, yard and equipment maintenance as required
- Maintain high standards of animal welfare, biosecurity and site presentationThe Company:

The Candidate:
- Previous livestock, farming, game, or countryside experience would be advantageous, although full training can be provided for the right candidate
- Strong interest in animal welfare with a commitment to maintaining excellent standards of care and husbandry
- Reliable, self motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions with a hands on approach to farm work
- Good practical skills with the ability to assist with general maintenance and farm tasks
- Full UK driving licence required
The Package
- Salary of £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
- Every other weekend of
- Friendly and supportive working environment
- Immediate start available or by mutual agreement
- Opportunity to join a well established family run agricultural business

Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
