Overview

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role requires a strong analytical mindset solid SQL skills and proven experience working in Agile environments. You will collaborate with stakeholders product teams and Developers to deliver data-driven insights and business solutions. Experience within the music or the music publishing industry is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather analyse and document business requirements translating them into functional and technical specifications while leveraging AI-powered tools to improve efficiency and quality

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business processes pain points and opportunities for improvement

• Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to improve business processes and team efficiency

• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to design and implement solutions

• Write SQL queries to test and analyse data

• Use Python (where applicable) for data analysis automation or prototyping

• Support data validation testing and quality assurance processes

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups sprint planning retrospectives)

• Maintain and manage product backlogs user stories and acceptance criteria

• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Produce clear documentation including process flows requirements and reports

Required Skills & Experience

• Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst

• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

• Solid SQL skills (data querying joins aggregations performance optimisation)

• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience with data analysis and reporting

• Familiarity with tools such as Jira Confluence or similar

• Exposure to BI tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI Looker Quicksight MicroStrategy)

• Strong understanding of how AI tools (such as ChatGPT Microsoft Copilot or similar) can be used to enhance business analysis documentation and productivity

Desirable Skills

• Experience in the music or music publishing industry

• Basic to intermediate Python skills (data manipulation scripting or automation)

• Experience with data platforms or cloud environments especially AWS

• Knowledge of data modelling concepts

• Understanding of APIs and system integrations

• Bachelors degree in Business Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

• Detail-oriented with a structured approach to problem-solving

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced iterative environment
