The Opportunity

We are looking for a Small Works Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of small operational projects across the Energy Management division acting as a key link between the Energy Analysis Systems and Delivery teams. The role is responsible for coordinating tracking and supporting projects from identification through to completion ensuring operational actions remedial works investigations and system improvements are delivered efficiently and communicated effectively to stakeholders.

Combining project coordination technical problem-solving and operational support the role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to assist with fault investigation diagnostics and the development of technical knowledge across metering systems energy systems and operational infrastructure. Working closely with Small Works Delivery Systems Engineering and Energy Analysis teams you will ensure projects are completed safely efficiently and to a high standard while contributing to continuous improvement in operational processes and service delivery.

Requirements

• Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to investigate and progress operational issues
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers engineers and internal stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate operational records
• Good analytical and logical thinking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across operational and technical teams
• Ability to manage workload effectively and prioritise tasks within a fast-paced operational environment
• Comfortable working with operational systems data and project tracking tools
• A proactive attitude that brings drive energy and passion to the role
• Flexible positive and committed team member who works to high standards
• Interest in developing technical understanding of energy systems metering infrastructure and operational delivery
• Awareness of operational Health & Safety requirements within engineering utilities or site-based environments
• Understanding of the importance of RAMS permits and safe systems of work within operational delivery
• UK driving licence
• Eligibility to work in the UK
