Physiotherapy Assistant
Woodlands Hospital
21 Hours & Permanent
Salary: Up to 24947.00 FTE per year (depending on level of experience training and qualification)

Woodlands Hospital in Darlington is part of Circle Health Group Britains leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join their team of staff in thePhysiotherapy department.

This is a part time role for 21 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

  • Assist with the delivery of physiotherapy interventions as directed by a registered Physiotherapist.

  • Support patients with prescribed exercises mobility practice and therapeutic activities in a safe and compassionate manner.

  • Set up and prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions ensuring all equipment is safe clean and ready for use.

  • Provide reassurance and motivation to patients during therapy helping build confidence and engagement.

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling stock checks and preparation of therapy materials.

  • Follow all relevant health and safety infection control and safeguarding procedures.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Experience working in a healthcare care or rehabilitation setting.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • A caring patient-focused approach and commitment to promoting independence.

  • Basic literacy numeracy and IT skills.
