AI Delivery Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the full delivery of AI and machine learning projects ensuring timelines budgets and quality standards are achieved.
• Run and mentor delivery teams providing clear direction support and professional development opportunities.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans risk registers and delivery roadmaps using appropriate methodologies.
• Engage with senior collaborators and clients to understand requirements lead expectations and communicate progress and outcomes.
• Analyse project performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve delivery efficiency.
• Coordinate prioritisation capacity planning and team composition to optimise project outcomes.
• Identify and mitigate risks proactively developing contingency plans and protocols for blocking issues.
• Champion guidelines in AI delivery governance and ethical implementation across the organisation.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure architectural decisions align with business objectives and delivery constraints.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and capability building within the delivery function.

Qualifications :

• Consistent track record in leading AI and machine learning projects to completion in corporate environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in delivery management frameworks and methodologies (Agile Waterfall or hybrid approaches).
• Strong people management and team leadership capabilities with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent collaborator management and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all interpersonal levels.
• Technical understanding of AI/ML concepts tools and implementation challenges.
• Experience in budget management resource planning and cost control.
• Analytical approach with strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in risk identification assessment and mitigation strategies.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of AI governance frameworks and responsible AI practices.
• Experience delivering large-scale complex AI implementations across multiple business units.
• Vendor and third-party management experience.
• Expertise in guiding organisational transformation and experience supporting teams through transitions.
• Familiarity with emerging AI technologies and industry trends.
• Experience in regulated industries or compliance-heavy environments.
