Job description

Responsible for implementing and supporting improvements efficiency enhancing software quality and accelerate delivery times. Having the shared responsibility between development/operations with a focus on people process tolls that take a unified customer/user a multi-disciplinary team with Development QA IT Operations Infosec UCD etc. all working together to achieve a common goal of applying best practice in DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience of DevOps tooling containers and containerisation
  • Communication: Able to speak to stakeholders and be able to transfer business requirements into technical implementation
  • Facilitate information/business knowledge: Able to act as a business SME and understand what the business needs and how to support this into an efficient DevOps team.
  • Stakeholder Management: Able to negotiate and influence with stakeholders to ensure the service runs effectively and efforts are placed correctly.

Qualifications :

  • 5 Years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of AWS and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance
  • Practical experience using Terraform(IaC) Kubernetes and Helm
  • Experience in Python
  • Experienced with multiple ecosystem databases architecture and integration
  • Experience with monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Kubernetes & Helm: Strong understanding of container orchestration with Kubernetes and package management using Helm.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud.
  • CI/CD: Proficiency in setting up and maintaining pipelines particularly with Jenkins.
  • Database Management: Experience with schema change management (e.g. Liquibase).
  • Scripting: Ability to write automation scripts in Python
  • GitOps: Understanding of GitOps principles.
  • Java & Maven: Experience with Java programming and Maven for builds.
  • Core Principles: A mindset focused on automation proactive monitoring continuous improvement and defining best practices.
