The Senior Research Associate reports to a Senior Scientist and is part of the Protein development platform department and located in Cambridge (UK) and is a lab-based role (on site). At Abcam our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
Perform Sanger sequencing
Perform Protein Expression & Purification of Proteins (including antibodies) and assist in developing these systems
Perform Biophysical QC of proteins (including antibodies)
The essential requirements of the job include:
BSc and/or MSc with relevant experience in a Life Sciences subject
2 plus years of hands-on experience in Sanger sequencing Protein Expression Protein Purification or Biophysical QC.
Excellent attention to detail with good organizational skills
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Molecular Biology Protein design or DNA preparation.
Performing to high quality standards within the lab; ensuring the lab is compliant with all external and internal quality standards and compliance with all health and safety guidelines.
