Job description

Be a part of a revolutionary change

Times are changing at PMI. We've chosen to do something big. The world expects us to act responsibly. And we are doing just that by transforming our business and building our future on one clear purpose: to deliver a smoke-free future.

This transformation will revolutionize every area of our business. The products we sell. Where we sell them. How we connect with consumers across the world. The way we use data to make every decision count.

E-commerce is at the center of that transformation. As the fastest-growing direct-to-consumer channel and a critical driver of consumer acquisition and revenue, it demands the highest standards of intelligence, rigor, and commercial thinking.

About the team

The E-Commerce Performance team is PMI's global hub for e-commerce business intelligence, channel management, planning and market performance. We provide the data, insights and reporting that drive commercial management decisions across both direct and indirect e-commerce channels, and we work closely with markets and regional teams to translate global strategy into measurable outcomes.

Purpose of the role

This role owns the team's data and reporting function, covering the full chain from data collection and infrastructure through to performance reporting, insight generation, and executive communication. It ensures that the global e-commerce team and its markets always have the intelligence they need to make informed commercial decisions.

Reporting to the Head of Global E-Commerce Performance and Channel Management, you will be accountable for performance reporting, business intelligence, and KPI governance, translating all of it into narratives that connect data to decisions for senior leadership and regional teams. You will coordinate agency resources across technical, reporting, and performance insights, and act as the guardian of data quality and methodology across the global e-commerce team.

You will be responsible for:

Performance Reporting & Planning

  • Own the global e-commerce reporting calendar across all cadences, from weekly operational tracking through to monthly VP-level performance reports, quarterly business reviews, and annual strategic sessions

  • Produce and manage the monthly global e-commerce performance report, a key commercial document reviewed by VP and senior leadership across global and regional teams, combining data rigor with a clear business narrative

  • Manage the standard performance reporting suite covering sales, revenue, traffic, consumer behaviour, and funnel metrics across direct and indirect channels

  • Deliver dedicated market performance reporting and analysis in partnership with Regional E-Commerce Leads, providing actionable insights to support market decision-making across direct and indirect channels

  • Track and measure performance uplift from platform migrations and technology deployments, establishing pre/post KPI frameworks to quantify business impact

  • Report on feature activations and CX enhancements across the e-commerce ecosystem

  • Support in-year forecasting by working with Regional Leads and markets to track performance against targets and flag variances early

Business Intelligence, Data & KPI Governance

  • Oversee the data collection and preparation process for global e-commerce reporting across system data, market data, and indirect (3rd party) e-commerce data, ensuring accuracy and completeness at every stage

  • Coordinate indirect e-commerce data collection across markets and 3P partners, validating that data is structured, consistent, and ready for reporting and insights

  • Maintain and update global e-commerce dashboards in coordination with the technical team, ensuring data is current, reliable, and fit for decision-making at all levels of the organization

  • Act as the e-commerce representative on data governance, taxonomy, and the single source of truth across all reporting

  • Own and continuously evolve the KPI framework for the global e-commerce function, working with data, commercial, and marketing teams to align on commercial targets, keep metric definitions current, and ensure measurement standards are consistently applied across the organization

  • Maintain a methodology library documenting how every m is calculated, so that data can be trusted, defended, and applied consistently across the organization

  • Champion data literacy across the global e-commerce team, ensuring the organisation reads, interprets, and acts on data with confidence

  • Conduct external benchmarking and competitive analysis to contextualise internal e-commerce performance against industry trends

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization and AB Testing) teams to support analysis and measurement of conversion experiments and feature activations

  • Support feature activations and system migrations through dedicated hyper-care monitoring, tracking key performance indicators to identify issues early and ensure positive business outcomes

  • Work with the systems team to evaluate and report on the business impact of feature deployments, providing data-driven analysis to understand performance outcomes and inform future development priorities

Resource & Agency Management

  • Coordinate and brief agency resources across technical data, reporting and performance insights workstreams, translating business requirements into clear scopes of work

  • Manage agency workload, demand intake and prioritisation, maintaining a clear view of capacity and output

  • Hold agency partners accountable for data accuracy, methodology adherence and reporting standards

Educational Background:

A degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, Business Intelligence, Data Management, Analytics or a related field.

Experience:

  • 8-12 years of experience in e-commerce, digital analytics, business intelligence or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years working in e-commerce or digital performance in a global or multi-market environment

  • Minimum 2 years coordinating a reporting function, analytical team or agency workstream

  • Proven experience designing KPI frameworks and presenting to senior stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into commercial recommendations within or alongside business teams

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to turn complex performance data into clear narratives that drive business decisions

  • Strong commercial understanding of what drives e-commerce revenue, acquisition and retention

  • Skilled at working across organizational boundaries and influencing without direct authority

  • Experienced in managing or directing external partners and agencies, with the ability to brief clearly and hold teams accountable for quality

  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage competing demands and prioritize effectively

  • Rigorous approach to data quality, accuracy, and methodology

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, data-rich environment where priorities shift, and not all answers are straightforward

Technical Proficiency:

  • Power BI (required)

  • Google Analytics 4 (required)

  • Advanced Excel (required)

  • SQL, with fluency in reading and writing queries for data extraction and validation (strong advantage)

  • Adobe Analytics (strong advantage)

  • Similarweb or equivalent competitive intelligence tool (advantage)

  • Python basics (nice to have)

Languages:

  • Fluency in English is required

  • A second European language is an advantage

Location:

London, UK
