Summary:
The Building Control Surveyoris responsible for delivering statutory Building Control services on behalf of Somerset Council ensuring compliance with the Building Act 1984 Building Regulations the Building Safety Act 2022 and associated legislation. Acting as a Registered Building Inspector (RBI) the postholder undertakes plan assessments site inspections enforcement activities and specialist technical advice to ensure that new developments and alterations are safe compliant and meet the highest standards of health fire safety accessibility and sustainability.
