Job description
Clinical Specialist – Pelvic Health (Physiotherapy) The London Independent Hospital – Stepney Green 15 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £60,431.00 FTE per year Duties * Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with a variety of musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, orthopaedic, or post-surgical conditions (dependent on setting). * Formulate individualised treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals. * Use a range of therapeutic techniques, exercise programmes, manual therapy, and patient education to promote recovery and prevent further injury or deterioration. * Collaborate closely with consultants, nurses, occupational therapists, and other allied health professionals to ensure coordinated care. * Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, ward rounds, and discharge planning as appropriate. * Refer patients to other services where required (e.g., hydrotherapy, pain management, or community rehabilitation). * Manage your own caseload efficiently, working flexibly across inpatient and/or outpatient settings as required. Qualifications * BSc (Hons) or MSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent qualification). * HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist. * Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. * Extensive experience handling complex and busy pelvic health caseload independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. * Strong understanding of clinical reasoning, assessment techniques, and evidence‑based practice. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload.
