Job description
Senior Children's Residential Support Worker Salary: £36,231 - £40,640 per annum (assuming good attendance and up to 4 sleep-ins per month) Those huge small victories Working in our client's Children's Homes means being a part of a young person's day-to-day life. As a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker, you'll help young people regain their childhood and create pathways to become well-rounded adults – an incredibly rewarding role. There will be challenges along the way, but there will also be the smallest moments that feel like huge victories. Our client's homes support young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, with the aim of achieving the very best outcomes. Every positive step is celebrated, no matter how small. Get out what you put in You'll play a key role in supporting young people on a day-to-day basis, ensuring the home runs smoothly while helping to create positive experiences and lasting memories. As a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker, you'll provide guidance and support to the staff team, helping to maintain high standards of care and deputising for Team Leaders when required. We're looking for someone who can build strong, trusting relationships with young people and inspire colleagues through their leadership, resilience and compassion. To be successful in this role, you'll need: A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to support your colleagues Genuine care, honesty and empathy for young people Emotional resilience and the ability to manage challenging situations A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards the qualification with full support provided by our client You'll receive a comprehensive induction programme designed to give you the confidence, knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the role and provide outstanding support to young people.
