Maths Classroom Support Haringey September 2026
This high-achieving secondary school with sixth form in the London Borough of Haringey is rated Good by Ofsted and is recognised for its rigorous Mathematics curriculum strong academic culture and genuine commitment to ensuring every pupil - from Year 7 through to sixth form - reaches their full mathematical potential. Every Maths Classroom Support worker who joins is treated as a valued and integral member of the Mathematics department team.

Maths Classroom Support - What the Role Involves
- Working alongside class teachers in Mathematics lessons across KS3 KS4 and sixth form on a full-time basis
- Supporting individual pupils and small groups within lessons to access and engage with the curriculum
- Providing in-the-moment support to pupils requiring additional explanation or reinforcement of key concepts
- Assisting sixth form students with mathematical reasoning and problem-solving during A-Level lessons
- Building consistent encouraging relationships with pupils at every level to develop their confidence in Maths
Maths Classroom Support - What the School is Looking For
The ideal Maths Classroom Support candidate will hold a 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a top 30 UK university ideally in Mathematics a STEM subject or a closely related numerate discipline. Previous child-centred experience in a UK educational setting is highly valued. The school is seeking a patient mathematically confident and proactive Maths Classroom Support worker with strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject.

Maths Classroom Support - Salary and Contract Info
- 444 per week pro rata to term time only
- Full-time long-term contract from September 2026 to July 2027
- Term-time only
- Potential for extended contracts or teacher training pathways following a successful placement
