Job description# About you: To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: **Essential criteria** 1. A PhD in statistics, biostatistics, clinical trials methodology, epidemiology, or another relevant quantitative discipline. 2. Extensive experience leading statistical input into clinical trials, including design, conduct, analysis and reporting 3. Track record of established contributions to methodology for innovative early-phase trial designs 4. Extensive experience of working with industry and external partners 5. Strong quantitative and programming skills (e.g. Stata, R or SAS) and experience of applying simulation and other quantitative methods to clinical trials research. 6. Evidence of high-quality peer-reviewed publications and contributions to successful grant applications or externally funded research 7. Excellent communication, leadership and collaborative skills **Desirable criteria** 1. Experience applying clinical trials methodology within mental health, neuroscience, behavioural interventions, or other complex long-term conditions 2. Working knowledge of clinical trial regulations and guidance, including International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use E9/E9(R1), GCP and MHRA requirements. 3. Evidence of methodological innovation that has informed clinical trial practice, guidance, policy, or national or international collaborations 4.
