QUALITY ENGINEER - Permanent Opportunity DIVISION: Civil Engineering

LOCATION: Northern Ireland - with potential travel throughout the UK Benefits:

Car Allowance, Subsidised Private Medical Cover, Life Assurance; Living away from home allowance (where appropriate), Contributory Pension, 35 Days annual leave (Including Public Holidays) Due to an exciting period of growth, we are looking to add an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Quality Engineer, to provide quality assurance support to the Site Management teams, on our Northern Ireland based projects.

We are open to speaking with either; experienced Quality Assurance Engineers or Civil Engineers, who are looking for a new challenge - Graduates are also very welcome to apply for this post.

Excellent communication skills are key, as are stellar organisation skills, in order to plan and prioritise workload. This role may, on

occasion

, require your presence on other UK wide sites, so the willingness to travel is essential.

Those with a Civil Engineer/Construction related degree would be held in high regard, as would candidates with recognised and approved Quality Management qualifications.

Job Specifics:

Implement the QA/QC management system at site Coordinate with quality inspections with all the site sub-contractors and vendors coordinate all non-destructive testing on site Coordinate with the clients representative on all quality matters Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards Participate in the site internal and external site audits Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and competed for as-built hand over to client Control all non-conformance reports and undertake remedial action Compete site quality control instructions and action remedial responses Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC Plan Complete and coordinate the approval of the sites QC technical submittals to the customer Coordinate with the site construction manager on all quality issues Coordinate and chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the projects subcontractors QC personnel Elaborating inspection and test programme Assure all technical documents relative to site quality control are current This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the Quality Engineer and the range of duties to be undertaken.
