THE ROLE & TEAM We are looking for a Paralegal to join our Private Client team in Liverpool, supporting our specialist Court of Protection practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal with a strong background in Court of Protection work to continue developing their career within a highly regarded and collaborative team. You will play a key role within our Private Client team, working closely with fee earners on a range of Court of Protection matters. The team manages financial deputyship cases and supports vulnerable clients and their families with sensitivity and care. This is a hands‑on role, offering exposure to complex and meaningful work, where your existing Court of Protection knowledge will be essential to supporting the team effectively. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Providing day‑to‑day support to fee earners on Court of Protection matters * Preparing and submitting Court of Protection applications and supporting documentation * Assisting with the preparation and filing of annual deputyship reports and returns * Ensuring compliance with Court requirements and key deadlines * Liaising regularly with clients, families, the Court, and third parties in a professional and empathetic manner * Managing correspondence, file administration, and general case management tasks * Supporting billing processes and maintaining accurate records * Assisting the team in progressing matters in line with Court procedures and internal processes ABOUT YOU * Previous experience within Court of Protection is essential * Prior experience in a Private Client team or similar environment * Strong understanding of Court of Protection procedures and requirements * Highly organised with excellent attention to detail * Able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines * Strong communication skills with a compassionate and professional approach * Proactive, collaborative, and keen to contribute to a supportive team environment BENEFITS * Competitive Salary * Flexible approach to working hours * Hybrid working (2 days on site) * Bupa / Medicash * Discretionary bonus opportunities * Pension scheme * Life Insurance & Income Protection Insurance * 25 days Annual Leave plus flex bank holidays (increasing with service) * Option to buy 10 additional days annual leave each year * 2 My Days (in addition to your holiday entitlement) * Additional discretionary annual leave days * Enhanced Maternity, Paternity & Adoption Leave * Career Development Opportunities * Wellbeing and Mental Health Benefit (24/7 Employment Assistance Program & Support) J-18808-Ljbffr
