\n Castle Education is recruiting a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in York on a full time basis from September.\n
\n This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive team, working closely with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.\n

About the role\n
\nAs a SEND Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the wider SEND team to provide tailored support, helping pupils to thrive both academically and personally.\n
\n You may be supporting pupils with:\n
\n Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)\n
\n Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)\n
\n Moderate and Complex Learning Difficulties\n
\n Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs\n
\n
Key responsibilities\n
\n • Providing one to one and small group support\n
\n • Supporting pupils with their learning, communication and emotional wellbeing\n
\n • Working alongside teachers to deliver engaging and accessible learning activities\n
\n • Promoting independence, confidence and positive behaviour\n
\n • Assisting with the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)\n
\n • Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment\n
\n
